Anxiously awaiting the release of the third book in the Empyrean series by Rebecca Yarros, Onyx Storm, which will be released January 20. We have created a few color ways inspired by this series.
First is Empyrean, a nice neutral that will be perfect paired with, of course black but also goes with grays and tones of gold and brown.
Then we have Sorrengail which represents Violet, the lightning wielding cadet with striking silver tipped hair who bonds with Tairn, the largest black dragon (plus Andarna, the smallest golden dragon).
Our next color is Wingleader which is all Xaden, the moody, shadow weilding, Wingleader of the Fourth Wing who has bonded with Sgaeyl, one of the fiercest and most powerful dragons in Navarre. She is huge and blue.
The final color is Silver One, which is a term of endearment Tarin uses for Violet.
Studio Sox is a luscious fingering-weight yarn, which is perfect for sock, cowl, or shawlette projects. The fiber is nicely-plied with great stitch definition. It takes dye extremely well, creating rich and varied hues.
Each 100g skein has approximately 440 yards.
