Designed by Joji Locatelli, this wrap was her May/June 2017 Mystery Knit Along and a huge international sensation.
SELECTING YARN This project requires five colors of fingering-weight yarn. The possible combinations for this wrap are so vast, and the achieved results can be so diverse… ANY color combination will work and will give you a beautiful piece, but remember this will be a big wrap and you will want to wear it. So go for colors that compliment your wardrobe and you feel happy and beautiful in!
FINISHED MEASUREMENTS Approx. 26½ x 72” (66 x 180 cm) blocked.
MATERIALS Yarn: 5 skeins of fingering weight yarn in 5 different colors. The approx. yardage required for each color is as follows: Color 1: 390 yards (356 m). Color 2: 250 yards (229 m). Color 3: 420 yards (385 m). Color 4: 420 yards (385 m). Color 5: 300 yards (275 m). Needles: 2 sets of US 6 (4 mm) circular or straight needle. Other notions: Stitch markers, stitch holders, waste yarn or an extra cable, tapestry needle, blocking pins or wires.
GAUGE Joji recommends making a swatch to see if you like your colors together. Your working gauge should be 23 sts and 44 rows. BUT your finished (pinned, stretched and blocked out) gauge should be 19 sts and 38 rows. Both gauges are given to 4” (10 cm) on US 6 (4 mm) needles in Garter st.
